The Miss V8 Supermodel search has again reinforced its position as the leading motor sports model search in the southern hemisphere! Following an exhaustive preliminary model search in premier entertainment venues throughout Australia and New Zealand, 14 of the hottest models converged on Surfers Paradise and the Armor All GC 600 V8 Supercars round!
After two grueling nights of competiton at an insanely packed and super busy SinCity Nightclub in Surfers Paradise the judges someohow managed to seperate the stunning finalists from Australia and New Zealand and a brand new Miss V8 Supermodel of The Year was announced. It was 19 year old Sidoney Bassett representing SinCity that stood out in this ultra glamorous pack! It was the first time ever that the national host venue had scored a winner and the club erupted when the announcement was made! The finalists competed in three separate sections - Grid Wear, Swimwear and Active Wear. The judging panels included drivers from the Australian GT Chamionship series as well as 2012 Australian Swimsuit Calendar model Chloe Patterson and former Miss V8 Supermodel Of The Year title holder Elle Polson! While the nights were spent competing and partying at Official Miss V8 Supermodel Venue - SinCity, the finalists' days were filled with photo shoots with the exotic supercars of the Australian GT series. The results will be used in the 2014 V8 Supermodel Calendar - Australian GT Edition. The models also spent time on track at the Armor All Gold Ciast 600 with the AGT series! To say that it was an action filled and jam packed fun week for the finalists is an understatement!
The first runner-up was Katarina Kudrina representing Hotel HQ and Flawless FX in Underwood while the second runner-up prize went to Corrine Erdbeer who represented New Zealand. Sidoney can now look forward to gracing the cover of V8 Action Magazine as well as scoring a featire inside the mag as part of her prize package! She is also the only model in the comp guaranteed her own month in the 2014 V8 Supermodel Calendar and she will be the model gracing next year's competition poster! In a partnership made in heaven the curvaceous Miss V8 Supermodels are teaming up with the world's most exotic and expensive race cars! We have signed a deal with the sensational Australian GT Championship series protected by Sargent Security which will see our 2012 National Finalists invited to perform grid and promo duties for the category as well as generally hanging out amongst the amazing cars that make up this remarkable series! These dream cars include Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 997,Audi R8 LMS, Ford GT3, Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche GT3-R, Ferrari 360 Challenge, Corvette Z06, Aston Martin DBRS9, Mecedes-Benz AMG SLS. Mosler MT900, Dodge Viper, Ginetta G50 etc..
The models will also get an opportunity to pose with the supercharged missiles for a special edition V8 Supermodel Calendar!
